So today, I decided that my Mock-ups page was becoming too crowded with mock-ups to keep using and adding new ones, so I decided to split them up and cut out all the fat. The mock-ups menu now consists of - in order - Mario mock-ups, Sonic mock-ups, KH mock-ups, and AA/Misc. mock-ups.
Each of the pages now use galleries too, instead of slideshows, to showcase the mock-ups better without a caption box blocking the bottom part. I hope this will be a better viewing experience for all my loyal visitors (if anyone is still here, reading these blog posts that I'm sure no one cares about).
In the future, I hope that I can get some more sprites done - I have Kirby Triple Deluxe sprites I should really be finishing at some point, but I just haven't had the motivation to even do so. (I'm only six or so icons away, and I just lose my motivation now? Why must I be so fickle?)
Well, that's really it for now. Hope to see more sprite sheets come out soon, because I should really get some done...
It's been a while since my last blog post (FOUR MONTHS!), though that could be due to my laziness with getting things done. (I still have a Kirby Triple Deluxe HUD and a Paper Jam Main Menu to finish! And when I said I'd do the latter over the summer, too!) But hey, I'm back now, and I'm here with something pretty awesome.
Hey there! It's been almost a month, huh? I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates on anything regarding my sprites or even Epicly Random, but I assure you, I've been kind of busy!
I have a YouTube account floating around that I haven't used very much - the only thing I ever really use it for is for commenting. So I decided to get off my lazy butt and do something - and since there hasn't been much videos on the DS rendition of LEGO Lord of the Rings, I decided that's what I'm going to do!
So you might be wondering where I've been the past few weeks. Personally, I've decided to take a small break from spriting things (so you probably won't be seeing my Paper Jam Menu finished for quite a while). Instead, I've been working on something else!
I'm back with something that took not a long time to do! What a happy and spectacular day! This is the fourth part of my Paper Jam Main Menu project, and now I have at least half of it done!
As you can see there's quite some reused resources from my Gear Menu - but since in-game the menu shares a lot of its resources I think it's fine. Besides, it saves me time and gives more convenience for me.
We have character stats, gear, and rank-up bonuses. I really don't feel like making big gear icons because that was torture last time and I really don't feel like doing that this time around. There's also no Rank icons - also because I don't feel like doing that.
But otherwise, there's everything you need for a Gear Menu! Use it well (hopefully).
So, we're three months into the year of 2016, which I hope turns out to be quite exciting. We've got Kirby: Planet Robobot (which looks astoundingly amazing, as all Kirby games are), Paper Mario: Color Splash (can't wait to see how much ranting fans will dish out), and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games coming up (which I'm actually excited for, believe it or not).
Today, I randomly decided to detail a list of all the sprite sheets I plan to make sometime in the near future (though knowing me I'll probably either take a thousand years to finish the list or forget about it entirely, but still). Click Read More below to read up the list.
Here's Part 3 of my PJ Main Menu project - the Gear Menu! It's obviously a VERY heavy work-in-progress at the moment - I'm not even halfway done - but what I've got is usable-ish.
I have some character stat stuff here, L and R buttons, gear icons (only 1/6th done though), and a glove pointer! (Pretty cool, right?)
When I have some more content to show, I'll let you know!
Back again, with a continuation to my Paper Jam menu. This time I'm tackling the Items Menu (you know, from the Main Menu).
As usual, it's not quite done, but what I've got is plenty to work with for now. Selecting an item, categories (most of them), icons, bubbles, I've got enough. Use if you want, but might want to put it off until it's done.
Be back for a finished version later.
It's been a while since the last update, wouldn't you say? I say we rectify that! I've posted a bunch more Paper Jam sheets since then, and I think now's a good time to showcase them. They're not quite as "big" as the Overworld HUD or the Battle Stuff, but I suppose they're good enough to show.
I'm FieryExplosion - a casual gamer and avid spriter. I've been spriting since 2013, and have plenty of sheets. I enjoy fanfiction, reading books, and drawing.
