.So I took a look back at some old sprites of mine from over a year ago at the very least and compared to my most recent sprites, they look very ugly and just not up to par. My old Dream Team custom sprites, Sonic Unleashed PS3/360 HUD, and Sonic Generations custom ranks are quite the example. So I'm going to do a project to give them (and possibly several others) a complete design overhaul to make them look much better (and not totally embarrassing).
This is the first one - my revamp of my Unleashed HUD.
The old HUD was created February 17, 2015. It's old, cluttered, and had way too many colors crammed into the HUD. The life icons didn't exactly look that good either, and I consider it very, very subpar.
In the new HUD, I simplified the colors on the HUD and shrunk it heavily, used gradients instead of color blocks, and even added a Ring Energy gauge! The boss gauge stays the same because I'm kind of lazy right now.
This concludes part 1 of my grand sprite revamp - there's plenty more to go, so we might be here a while. Not like that's bad or anything, though!
